A student was interviewing me for a project, and this was one of her questions.

Without hesitation, I said, "Yes."

And it's a good feeling.

Despite the challenges of late, I feel really, really good about my life.

Thank you for being someone who always made me laugh. You called me on my 40th birthday and we talked for an hour. The nieces went to see you in California and we had a good time at dinner, playing pool, and talking about grandpa and the family.

You hugged me and told me you loved me. I said I love you back.

I was hoping to see you again. One day, I will.
