On the first day of this month, I said goodbye to

On the first day of this month, I said goodbye to my childhood home.

It was bittersweet, but I was able to grab quite a bit of furntiture from the house (thanks, Mom!) and some keepsakes, including photos, books, and a few meaningful items.

Lots of memories. Lots of changes.

Was able to spend a lot of time with family, which was great.

I grew up in that house. Although I’ve been a homeowner for several years now, my house is my house. My home is in Jackson. My heart is in Mississippi and with my mom and brothers.

The beautiful thing is that there is room for new moments and memories to be made for the next generation.
