Mood: My fall semester for teaching starts August

Mood:

My fall semester for teaching starts August 10.

My fall semester (as a fourth-year doctoral student) starts August 22.

I just need a little more summertime ... Not in the ER though ... But just in the streets. With a mask.

Pray for me, saints ...

In all seriousness, I am super excited to begin my second year of teaching on the collegiate level. It's a goal I checked off the list earlier than expected and it has been the most rewarding career I've had thus far.

Also, making it to my fourth year means I am so much closer to DR Lassiter being my initials AND my new title as a newly minted PhD graduate!

I am in a season of reduction ... 🙅🏾‍♀️

Recently did my Goodwill donation haul and got rid of furniture, clothes, and more.

Also ended 2 contract positions to reclaim my time.

Letting go of certain pressures as an entrepreneur.

Accepting that some people are not fit for leadership and others are not team players ... and knowing I can leave those situations, too.

Re-evaluating relationships.

Continuing to work on my fitness so this waistline can get smaller.

I am hyperfocused on my doctoral completion. Therefore, some other people, places and things might get the axe, too. Doing what is necessary (while listening to #renaissance on repeat). Period.
